On my way home from a great weekend away with friends, I decided that I was going to go for a hike.
I have yet to do one this year, which is pretty pathetic since I love to do these kinds of things.
I had seen a sign for Arethusa Falls, and asked my friend about it. She said it is a bit tough but totally worth it.
So I decided, what the heck, might as well.
It is located off 302 in the White Mountains of NH. The sign is a bit hidden to the parking lot so keep an eye out for it. Worse case just turn around :)
The hike takes about 1 hour to get there and then 1 hour to get back. About 1.4 miles in and the same thing back.
It is an easy enough hike, meaning you don't need anything special to do it other than good sneakers and water. There are a lot of roots on the ground and rocks that you will need to navigate around but all in all pretty much most people can do it. Oh ya....if stairs are not your thing....this hike probably isn't really for you. There are "stairs" that you need to climb on this path as you can see from some of the pics. And there are quite a few ;)
You can either park at the bottom of the hill or drive up closer to the start of the trail.
When you see the rail road tracks, cross over them and bare to the left, you will see BLUE dots on the trees for this trail. Away you go!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

There are TONS of places to hike and things to see out here, if you get the chance to come out here, check out as much as you can.
