Today we planned to get up early so we could hit up the beach, yet again it was a late start.

Ok so if you haven't noticed already, I love animals! So of course it is only natural for me to go to as many places as possible where I can see animals from all over the world. The Toranga Zoo is supposed to be one of the best around, and I would say it was nice, but not the best. Most of the animals were not out (because it was so damn hot) and quite a few exhibits were closed. We found that the Healsville sanctuary that we stumbled across back in Melbourne was better even though it didn't have as many larger animals.

We got to see animals in captivity but also ones that were wild that came to visit. There is a kookaburra (fat little fluffy things with big heads who makes some of the mose bizzare bird calls that were have seen in the sanctuary and here at the zoo in some avaries but also say some wild ones. One of my favorite places to visit in zoos or sanctuaries are the birds, although I swear that the calls they make, they are laughing at me because they know I am trying to take pictures and they either don't stay still long enough or you can't see them. Ya I know it sounds crazy hahaha but it is true.

After visiting the zoo for a few hours we then headed over to Manly beach. This place was packed! We found a parking garage (thankfully) and decided to walk around. Since it was fairly late in the afternoon we found a place to eat (Manly Grill) and ate tried our taste at Crocodile and Kangaroo. I had a Crocodile Burger and Mary had Kangaroo steak with Crocodile tail. Holy yummy! My burger was really good, it is a white meat which they say tastes like chicken but I didn't really get that taste from this. The Kangaroo that Mary had was fairly gamey, it tasted rather good to start but then had a god aweful after taste. Her Crocodile tail was really good though, much different than the burger....it wasn't rubbery, it was like a stronger barbaque chicken but not really like chicken. Go figure that taste out! Hahahaha

After lunch and a few brews, we went and sat on the beach for a few hours to enjoy the last sun of the day before heading back to Mr. Bonds house for a BBQ with him for our last night staying at his humble abode.

Mr. Bond has been so incredibly nice to let Mary and I stay at his house for the past few days, coming and going at all certain times of the day/night. We bought him a bottle of wine to say thank you for everything he has done for us. We enjoyed a BBQ dinner of Kangaroo Kabobs, which were melt in your mouth delicious. There was also some steak, cole slaw, avacado with mozzerella cheese and tomatoes, and a mixed salad of plums(i think lol), bri cheese, arugula, tomatoes with a dressing on it. Such a great dinner that was cooked for us. We then had minced fruit pies with cream on top and chocolates. We hung out for a couple more hours before retreating to our last night in the northern Sydney area.

Till tomorrow

XO
