Farewell to Oz

I was up semi early today to finalize getting ready to leave Australia. Yesterday I did some final things in order to pack so I had less to do today, but I wanted to make sure I didn’t forget anything. I also treated myself to a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant last night and had Eggplant Moussaka, I am telling you this because I need to make it when I get home and if I forget it will always be here.

Anyway, I am sitting here on the plane somewhere over the Tasman Sea on my way to Christchurch New Zealand for the last leg of my trip. I have enjoyed my time over here in Australia and it is a double edged sword leaving. I am excited to see another country and experience everything they have to offer, but I am sad because there is still so much more that I want to see in Australia and because of money and distance, I am not sure if I will make it back. But, if I don’t I am so incredibly fulfilled with the trip I planned and everything that I did and got to see. Are there things I would have changed? Maybe…..but I can’t dwell on the past especially when I can’t change it and I can still make my own future.

So I bid The Land of Oz farewell, and hope that someday I will be able to return again.
