I love taking photos of nature, if you haven't noticed already lol

I find that there is so much that nature has to offer, and most of the time people just pass it by or don't take the time to appreciate what is around them.

This place is HUGE!!! Bring your walking shoes!!!! I only had time t do a walk of the gardens, the animal area and the butterfly house. There was also a boat and land tour to see the rest of the place, yet I didn't have time. I will say that the ticket you buy is good for 7 days so if you are staying in the area and can go back to do so. When I got there I was prepared to pay for my ticket, but apparently it was my lucky day and someone had paid it forward and bought a single ticket for someone who was visiting. I was totally blown away knowing that there is still nice people out there. I know I know!!!! People do stuff like this all the time, we hear about it or we do it, are you ever the person who receives the benefit from it? Ok off my soapbox lol

Since I went at the end of July it wasn't blooming as much as it would be in the spring or early summer but it was still pretty. They have a section where there are a ton of sculptures to walk around and see and the gardens are intertwined within them. Because this place used to be a plantation they have some history on the walk from the gardens over to where the animals are. Now they have a shuttle thing that will drive you but if you can walk, I suggest is because you don't get the history using the shuttle.

Anyhoo...the animal area was cool....the aviaries were nice because a lot of the birds were down low to the water since it was really hot out. The other animals were either hidden and partially visible OR no where to be seen due to the heat, which I understand lol

Hopefully my photos do this place some justice.
